Throughout his professional career, Rick’s strategic vision, fine-tuned throughout many years as a technology leader, has been the basis for developing successful and innovative solution architectures that have won him accolades from his peers and clients. His design of a highly-customizable, metadata-based information management system still thrives after many years and remains the foundation of a successful software platform. Data-warehousing development strategies Rick developed and implemented proved to have a significant reduction in implementation time year-over-year and yielded an order of magnitude decrease in execution time.
Most recently, Rick served as Director, Business Optimization, Healthcare at Connolly iHealth Technologies, where he managed multiple high-performance teams of business systems analysts and data analysts who create significant impact on revenue by implementing customized sustainable solutions designed to streamline business processes and uncover new revenue streams.Rick is the former Director of Application Development at Satori Group, Inc., where he managed the development of multiple Business Intelligence products and assisted in implementations of customized Budgeting, Reporting, and Dashboard applications, primarily targeted at law firms. Rick’s vision for software development and delivery was integral to scaling the Satori model, consistently delivering maintainable, reliable, and repeatable installations at a fraction of the original effort.
Prior to Satori, Rick served as an independent consultant specializing in the application of leading-edge technologies and developing strategic technology architectures to both low- and high-tech businesses and startups. Rick was well known as an effective problem solver and his clients depended on his vision and his ability to verbalize it to a variety of audiences.
Rick began his career as a pioneer in the information management space, starting a company that created enterprise information systems for corporate legal and government clients. These decision support systems served thousands of clients per installation and provided sophisticated reporting and analysis through easy-to-use interfaces.
Rick’s passion for innovation is stimulated by his love of learning and an immersion in current technology. He currently lives in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania with his wife, Karen, and their two children.
